Strutting into 2021 (During A Pandemic)
As dressing for the holiday season has been a challenge it will inevitably continue being a bit difficult for New Year’s Eve. So, I have come up with a couple ideas to help you figure out how you can dress for a New Year’s Even unlike any other. Please also see my blog from a few weeks ago where I talked about dressing during Christmas as those looks and ideas will also translate well for NYE (BLOG LINK)
So, whether you are having a safe night out or a night in with a few friends or family it is always fun to be festive. I love to wear a dress when doing something fun for the holidays. But as I mentioned during the earlier blog most of us may not be up for cocktail dresses or full sequin looks. However, that doesn’t mean you still can’t wear a great dress. Printed dresses and even winter florals are big trends this year and they make the perfect look for a dressy but somewhat toned-down NYE outfit. I am crushing hard on the Alice and Olivia dress I am wearing…I adore the color, print and silhouette! Perfect for ringing in a new year!
Another option, that I think is so fun and fitting for 2020, is a fabulous sweatshirt! There are so many amazing sweatshirts and cozy pieces that can be equally fabulous. I love that we have now combined sequins with sweats! So, if doing a night in maybe make it a holiday pajama party or a fabulous sweats party and if going out opt for a playful dress or one of the many pant/denim suggestions I gave a couple weeks ago.
Whatever you do don’t stress about what to wear on NYE during a pandemic! Between this blog and my Dressing for the Holidays” blog you have a lot of styling options and can end this crazy year looking chic as ever! You may not be able to have them shipped in time for NYE (unless you pay for expedited shipping) but you may be able to pick up in store or go shopping in your own closet and find something amazing!
