CLOSET & STYLING 101

CLOSET & STYLING 101

A new season has begun which means it’s time to switch over your closets and start sprucing up your wardrobes for the new season.

A few tips from me to you:

  • Whether you move your off-season clothes to a different closet all together or move things to the back of your closet it/s always a good idea to refresh your wardrobe by switching your seasons and eliminating some pieces.

  • When you’re adding new items it’s always a good idea to remove some pieces as well so your closet won’t get overcrowded or overwhelming.

  • Also organizing your closet by colors and styles will help you find pieces easily and show you what you have too much or may need to add.

  • Create a shopping list, after you organize your closet.  This way you’ll know what you want to add when shopping.

  • Stick to your plan so you don’t get distracted by things you don’t need.

  • If you don’t love it in the store you will love it even less when you get it home.

  • Know how you are going to wear something before you take it home because once you get it home you will be just as overwhelmed with how to style the piece as you were in the store.

  • If you aren’t “feeling it” don’t buy it or wear it.  Only dress yourself in what you feel most confident in.

  • These are a few of the styling rules I work and live by.  But if you don’t want to navigate this yourself you can always consult with me for in person or virtual styling help!
