Showered with Fashion - Wedding Wednesday

When thinking of what to wear to a bridal shower or bridal luncheon there are so many directions to go. I always love going the more girly, pretty, feminine route. While the bride doesn’t have to wear white, I do love a bridal element when dressing for your own event. And if you are a guest stay away from wearing white or shades of white to the event.

Always think about the time of day and where the event is taking place. To me this ALWAYS makes a difference in how you dress bridal event or not. If this is a bridal brunch or something during the day you can obviously go more casual but still step it up from what you would wear on a normal day having lunch with your friends. And if the event is in the evening or a couple’s shower definitely go for a dressier look. Hopefully the hostess of the event will put how to dress on the invitation. And if you are ever unsure be on the safe side and go a little dressier as it is always better to be over dressed then under dressed.

It is usually a good idea to stay away from jeans in any form and also avoid a basic pants and a simple top. Pants are perfectly acceptable but make sure they are special. Dresses, skirts, or jumpsuits are always a good idea. And from there depending on the venue and time of day you can vary how dressy your look is. And as always, accessories will make all the difference on the level of dressiness.
