Country Chic Bride - Wedding Wednesday

Country Chic Bride - Wedding Wednesday

I am going to state what may be the obvious here and say that I am not the country bride type.  However, I know that there are many brides who fall into this category and want to make sure I address it.  It was fun pulling looks and ideas for this because it is so out of my element.

I realized when I was in Nashville that next to Vegas it may be the top bachelorette spot.  There were bridal parties and brides everywhere celebrating and I heard so much about how many bachelorettes come to Nashville to celebrate their last few days of singleness before taking the walk down the aisle.  So, if you are planning a more country style wedding or are having your girls weekend someplace where cowboy boots are as common as sneakers then this blog is for you!

I have options for the bachelorette weekend, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower or bridal luncheon.  And the obvious choice is to throw on a pair of cowboy boots with any of these looks which automatically give your outfit the country vibe.  I do want to offer a few suggestions, at least so you aren’t wearing cowboy boots for every occasion.  There are some fabulous wester style boots that give you that same vibe but allow you to offer your look a dressier feel while also being a bit more chic.  And you can always opt for a beautiful heel while still wearing a dress that leans more country in style and adding some great turquoise jewelry.  There are many ways to give you the country feel without always adding cowboy boots so I want to challenge you to be open to that idea.  Or maybe you do cowboy boots for one event but opt for another look for the others?  There are many ways to go about styling this kind of look.  So, for this blog I am also adding accessories for you to shop from because as I have said time and time again accessories can completely change the look for your outfit.

Talking quickly about the actual fashion of the clothing there are all the obvious choices that make great options for offering a cowgirl look.  Ruffles, sequins, tulle, rhinestones, fringe, and lace are all key components for a fabulous outfit.  And because ALL of these elements are very on trend at the moment you should have no trouble finding what you need!  My one piece of advice would be not to go over the top here (which can be easy to do).  Your outfit should not have all these components but instead pick a couple.  Maybe a ruffle skirt with a sequin top or a jacket with fringe and a beautiful trouser.  You want your look to be chic and fabulous not something that looks like a costume or like you should be working at the Opryland Hotel.  There is a way to make this look incredible and I am showing three variations this week in addition to offering fantastic shopping links.

OK ladies I have given my stylist opinion and offered some great suggestions.  The rest is up to you!

Happy Shopping!

Tamara
