Let’s Cover It Up!

Last week I talked about top trends, tips and brand favorites and swimwear. And this week I am talking about all the fun accessories that complete the bathing suit look. It used to be that we would just throw on a tank top and jean shorts over our bathing suits with flip flops and any bag we had laying around the house. But those days are long gone! Now it’s all about fabulous beach sandals, hot cover-ups, fantastic hats, and chic beach bags. So, let’s get to it shall we?!

I am giving you guys a list of some of my favorite cover-ups, beach bags, sandals, and hats to accessorize your bathing suits. So here you go!

Crochet -

is always a classic and one of my favorites.

Sexy –

sheer fabrics, short, high slits.

Double Take –

These can be doubled as outfits to wear out and to wear to the beach. Such great pieces that they go from the beach to dinner.

Pants –

I love all of the amazing beach pants out now. So fun and a great new way to cover your bums this summer.

Romper –

I always love a romper and wearing it over a bathing suit is perfection.

Kimonos/Caftan –

These pieces are perfect to wear over swimwear and also over a dress or with a tank top and jeans or shorts.

Sarong –

This is a classic swimwear cover-up and there are so many incredible options right now from sexy and short to long and vibrant. The longer styles can be worn in several different ways so they are a very versatile piece.

sandals –

Say goodbye to boring flip flops. Beach sandals range all the way from designer to mainstream. So many amazing rubber and plastic styles that can be worn to the pool, beach, boat and even wear them to run around.

HATS –

Beach hats are not only functional but fashionable. When we used to try and just tan our faces, we didn’t wear hats as often but now we realize how bad the sun is for aging our skin, we wear these hats to protect our faces but now we can do so while looking uber chic. So many amazing silhouettes from oversized to visors. And there are many styles that have SPF in them for added protection.

bags –

And the final accessory for the beach is some arm candy! To complete your look, you must have a great beach bag and there are countless great ones to choose from.
