Luxe Vegan Leather

Luxe Vegan Leather

It is not whether leather is “in style” or not because it always is “in style”.  Besides shoes and bags the thing most people buy in leather are jackets.  But I want you to think beyond just bags, shoes and jackets to pants, skirts, dresses and more!

While leather is an amazing thing it can get very pricey.  And as designers work to make their clothes available to more people there is also a strong push from many on being more environmentally and animal friendly.  So, brands from hi to low-end have been coming up with faux leather clothing and accessories.  It is true that faux leather has been a thing for ages but the problem used to be how the items looked and felt.  They didn’t feel anything like real leather and they looked plastic and very fake.  What you want with a faux item, of any kind, is for it to actually look real.  So, finding good vegan leather pieces is not always the easiest.  And sometime getting those faux leather pieces come with very high price tags.  But as more and more brands are working to obtain luxury non-leather, we are seeing more options in the stores.

So, I spent some time this past week showing some of the best non-leather, leather pieces.  More and more there are better leather alternatives and I have compiled some of my favorites in my posts this past week.  Since you already have the basics in your closet, it’s time to add some other pieces into your wardrobe.  And colors for that matter!  These pieces will enrich your wardrobe by giving it great depth.

Some items to consider are shorts, pants, shirts, dresses, and skirts.  And colors to consider are any of the rainbow.  But if you want to stick to more neutral shades camel, tan, sienna, brown, navy, army green or you can opt for vibrant colors like red, magenta, and cobalt.  And if you look back at my inspiration photos for the week (and on stories) I have given you some great ways to style these pieces.  We will also be adding a highlight on Instagram for you to refer back to anytime.

So bottom line is to add leather to your wardrobe and to do so in new ways.  When shopping for your vegan leather pieces just make sure they look and feel good.  You don’t want to buy something that doesn’t look legit

So, whether real or fake just add it to your closet!

Happy Shopping!  XO
