whether it be sequins, rhinestones, or anything else that sparkles it is an excellent way to up your skirt game. Whether you wear it with a knit like I’m doing, a blazer, fun blouse, or even a graphic t-shirt there are countless ways to style this piece.
Ruuffflleesssss….and tulle
Think Carrie Bradshaw cinque 1998 and bring this super fun and chic look into your closet stat! This too works with knits, again as I have done, but can also be worn just as I mentioned above, wearing it with anything from a graphic tee to a blazer. With sneakers or cocktails shoes. So many options!
School Girl…
We just gave a shout out to Sex and the City and now we are gonna represent a Clueless Alicia Silverstone with an incredibly fun plaid, pleated mini skirt. Wearing this with tights and again a wide variety of tops (see notes above as they apply here as well) is the perfect complement to this look. Now it wearing a shorter skirt doesn’t work for you do to age, comfort level or any other reason you can find many similar styles in a longer silhouette. Don’t nix the trend when you can find it in a way that works for you.
Maxi skirts in winter...say what?!
Forever we thought of maxi skirts worn in summer with sandals or espadrilles but this season I am going to challenge you to think of ways to bring this look into the cooler months. All the top choices apply as they have above and wearing this skirt with boots, especially combat style boots, gives it a really chic look. You can always wear a stiletto or other heel but boots really elevate this look and make it even more chic.
And finally, electric hue…
This season bring those fabulously bright shades into your wardrobe. We are seeing so many amazing colors in beautiful knits, coats, winter accessories and so many pieces. When bringing these bright colors into the colder months you just have to do it appropriately by mixing the right elements. Adding tights, boots, jackets and sweaters to these bright colors give them all the winter vibes you need.
