Military vibes are such a fun trend to add into your closets this season.  We are seeing them on celebs and runways so here is the 411 on how to incorporate this look in a way that works for the everyday gal.

This edgier trend can be worn simply with jeans or a more basic top (and there is no shame in that game at all) OR you can make them even trendier by adding this more structured look to feminine pieces like floral, ruffles, lace, sequins, or a beautiful velvet skirt like I am doing in my look.  Take the seemingly two opposites elements and combine them to make one incredible outfit!

Combat boots have been around for a season or two and they are more prominent now than ever.  They are perfect for jeans and sweaters or if you are up for taking it to another level wear them with a dress or skirt.  Even the flowy, feminine ones!  

Blazers and jackets are all around us this season and part of the essentials in your wardrobe.  Adding a military style jacket into your closet is very chic and an excellent way to bring this trend into your life.   Pairing this jacket with your favorite t-shirt and jeans is an excellent way to create this look or mimic the way I have done it by pairing the jacket with a beautiful shirt and a fun heel.  Both are perfection!

Adding military to your look can also be done through color as well.  The obvious choice is army green or you can even go with a camouflage print.  You can find these in jeans or pants (see my post from Wednesday to see how I rocked camo) or in a jacket, shirt, or even a knit.  

Give your fashion life a perfect update by bringing military trends into your closet.  And don’t feel like you have to go into full fatigues to achieve this….do it in small doses or whatever works for you.
