Oh How She Glows - All About Make Up

We all want effortless make-up that gives your skin a beautiful glow.  While I can’t say my make-up, routine is completely effortless I do think it is rather easy.  Just adjusting my lipstick, whether or not I use lashes and if so how dramatic they are, can greatly alter my everyday look even though it is the same routine.  And for nights out is when I make-up my eyes by adding eye liner and eyeshadow.  But for my day-to-day it is pretty much the same variation of products, takes little time, and once you have it down there is no thought required!

One of the BEST tips I can give you, for your make-up to wear well, is to make sure you skin is well hydrated (from the inside out) and that you, now…. HEAR ME WHEN I SAY THIS….let your products absorb into your skin without layering one right on top of the other.  This is where problems occur and make-up doesn’t always get worn so well.  Smudging, creasing, and all the things we hate!  I am going to give the same advice that I did for the two blogs on skincare and that is to allow time in between some of these steps.  Find other things you already need to do in the morning and do them in between your steps.  Make your bed, dry your hair, pick out your outfit…there are plenty of ways to multi task.  Between the moisturizer and other skin care products you put on your face, your foundation (whatever that is) and concealer you really need to let them sink into your skin before applying the next product.

Also, as I have mentioned in the last couple weeks, just because it works for me and is a product I love doesn’t mean you will have the same results.  Skin care, hair care, make-up is not one size fits all.  So, try them out and see what works for you and if it isn’t for you most places are very good about returns.

One other tip I want to make sure to give is for the magnetic lashes.  You must make sure you apply enough of the liner.  Shake the tube and apply one coat then LET IT DRY and then the second coat and let that dry THEN place the lashes on.  You also may need to snip the end of the lash to make it fit your eye lid properly.  Eyes are all different shapes and sizes so these lashes may be too wide and may need to be trimmed just a hair (pun intended!)

So, sit down with your coffee or perhaps a glass of wine and watch this little video of mine.  I took my time to go into detail and to share tips for these products so don’t miss the video!

Here is a list of all my favorite everyday make-up products…ENJOY!
