Why be basic in any area of your fashion life?! For so long we have covered our amazing outfits with simple black coats and called it a day. But now fashion is really stepping up the outerwear game so this is one time where I say you should step in line!
Sooooo……add some love to your coat closet this season with capes, trenches, leather, fur/faux fur, and bomber styles. Think animal prints, bold colors, belted coats, hardware, metallic….just go beyond the basics!
And the best part about all the coats I am featuring this week is that they are pocketbook-friendly. Please hear me say you do not have to break the bank to have a rockstar coat closet as there are so many brands that make it possible to achieve outerwear greatness!

Bold colors and prints
Fur/ Faux Fur (especially fun ones)
Puffy coats especially in shiny materials like silver
Bomber coats
Short sleeve coats which also make perfect layering pieces
