A Great Rooftop:

I LOVE rooftops, especially in cities like NYC. And I am so lucky because my favorite rooftop is

right in my neighborhood at the Kimpton Ink 148 Hotel. Perfect for sunsets and cityscapes. A

few other favorites in the city are Top of the Standard, which works in winter or summer, as well as

Gallow Green.

Where to Grab Coffee in the City:

For something fun and unique I love Oddfellows. You can get things like café Iigeois… one of my

favorites… which is a combination of espresso, small scoop of ice cream, homemade whipped

cream and chocolate soil. Or lattes or other espresso drinks with homemade burnt

marshmallow. For a regular cup of Joe two of my all-time favorites in the city are Rex or Blue

Bottle.

Best Shopping Around:

Favorite area to shop around in the city is in Soho. It has the perfect combination of all the

designer stores you love, mixed in with some of the mainstream staples, amazing street

vendors and great one of a kind boutiques. Not to mention amazing restaurants, coffee shops,

and cocktail bars to recharge you after hours of shopping.

Favorite NYC Pizza:

Pizza is one of my favorite go-to foods….there is nothing I don’t love about sauce, cheese and

bread! For a traditional NY slice, Joe’s is excellent and the original location is the one in West Village,

on 6th Ave. But my most favorite pizza in the city is Lombardo’s down in Soho along with in Brooklyn… is

Lucali. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

End with a Cocktail:

I am a huge fan of a unique and delicious cocktail. If a bar only has basic or average cocktails I

will just opt for wine. But for truly genius concoctions that come from a creative mixologist I

am all in! With my love of lavender, I have become obsessed with establishments that are

starting to use this delicious flavor in their cocktails. There is a lavender French 75 at the River

Café that is so incredible you won’t be able to get enough. Not to mention the breathtaking

view of Manhattan that you get while sipping this delicious beverage. Other cocktail faves in

the city are Dear Irving, which is a fantastic speakeasy, The Distillery NYC which is my favorite

neighborhood spot and Death and Company which makes an insane old fashioned.

XO Tamara
